PROBLEM: How can I speed up my computer and Play Online Games Faster? System requirements for Delta Force 2 are as follows. Processor: Pentium II or Celeron or equivalent, minimum System RAM: 64 MB minimum required Hard Disk Space: N/A CDRom: 4X Drive Sound Card: Any Windows Compatible Video Card: SVGA Video Card Direct X: Version 3 or higher http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx Direct X v9.0 is current Multiplay: 50 Players on NovaWorld, 16 players IPX If you have the above requirements then here are the additional things you can do to keep from being a Fucken Lagging ass nob! 1) Go to your start menu, click run, type in MSCONFIG when the file comes up open the start menu and uncheck everything you don't need. On my system the only thing I need is a file called CcApp which is needed for my system to get online. Try unchecking each item then rebooting your computer to see if it's affected by the change. Your goal is to get rid of everything running in the back ground and icons next to the computers clock. 2) Go to your start menu, click settings, control panel, internet options, general, delete temp files and browser history. Delete all of those cookies and temp files. You can also go to Internet Explorer tools delete history. Do this on each browser you have. 3) Start menu, control panel, mouse properties, motion, increase your mouse speed. Don't worry about acceleration, it's deferred when playing games anyway. 4) Disk clean up, compress those old files, get rid of crap you don't need or ever use. 5) Start menu, control panel, add or remove programs, get rid of the crap you don't need. Get rid of the tool bars you down loaded, weather bug, bonzi buddy, ad helper, ad watch, lime wire, and crap you don't use like quicken. If you're not sure what something is just copy paste it into goggle and it will tell you what it is for. 6) Run Ad Awear, Ewido, spy wear blaster, spy bot, Beta II, I have all of these, and I run each of them every day. Their free and available on. http://www.efenterprises.com/Computer_Clean_Up.html 7) Defragment your computer often and more then once each time you do it. 8) Reboot your system after you make all of these changes. 9) Do not have Norton or any other virus protection on while playing DF2. 10) Increase your RAM, it's not that expensive and its easy to do. If your under 1 gig now and you increase to double that, you will see a big difference especially if you expand to 2 gigs. If you're at 2 gigs and expand to 4 gigs, it's not that noticeable. If you're running 1 gig or under and running windows X-P with a full start up menu, you are using part of your hard drive as temporary RAM which slows you down to the freeze frame level of Lag. 11) Check your computers clock, see that it's accurate and does not lose time. If it's off you may have trouble signing on to a game. 12) Get the latest version of Direct X 9.0 at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx 13) & Keep Windows Up to Date ! 14) If your using Windows 98, get a new computer, Microsoft no longer recognizes it as an operating system. If your using Windows Vista, good luck! I hope that this helps you with your lag, sysdump, and lost server problems. Dance Rooster!
